Krakow Photomonth Festival over 15 years has gained the rank of an international event, one of the most important photographic festivals in Europe. A round birthday was a good moment to change and highlight the character of the festival with the right sign.
In the new logo, we gave up two full names of the festival (Miesiąc Fotografii w Krakowie, Krakow Photomonth Festival) and replaced them with the English-language term KRAKOW PHOTOMONTH, which for several years has been operating in the international circulation and in social media as the official hashtag of the Photomonth.
The logo gains a graphic element – KP’s initials built on a geometric grid, giving an optical illusion of space, which illustrates references to the place: both of Krakow as a titular city and for exhibition spaces.
Every year, the festival takes various forms – in addition to exhibitions, the program includes many accompanying events or thriving sections of ShowOFF, PhotoFringe and #woloMFK. The festival is not only events, but also people and places. A dynamic logo with a changing module layout reflects the variety of configurations of the elements that make up the festival.
